| I was in pain for a long time. My doctor told me to leave my profession because it was causing me stress. After four years of medication that numbed me, stress management courses, neurological testing that was very painful and numerous referrals to physical therapy which treated the symptoms and ignored the problem, my doctor told me all she could do for me was give me more medication. She told me I would have to learn to live with the pain. I could not accept this fate. I had done everything I was told including leaving a job that I loved which put a huge financial burden on our family. I decided to look for help in nontraditional areas. I was looking for a massage therapist who would work with me to find the cause of my pain not just a “fluff and buff'” treatment. I am very lucky to have found someone who understood my needs. Integrated Massage Therapy has started me on the road of recovery. IMT has given me relief of pain and also guided me to explore other areas to acquire good health.
